Autism Ontario’s Raise the Flag campaign, the simple act of raising a flag unites families, schools, communities, government and professionals in recognizing World Autism Awareness Day, and brings to light to struggles and triumphs of people on the autism spectrum.
On Tuesday April 3rd, St. Mary of the Angels participated in this event. In the weeks leading to World Autism Awareness Day daily announcements highlighted insightful facts and information relating to autism. On Tuesday April 3rd the entire school showed their support for autism awareness by wearing blue. Our school also participated in the Autism awareness walk and the Autism Ontario flag was raised alongside the Canadian Flag. Lastly, St. Mary of the Angels proudly raised $548 for Autism Ontario. St. Mary of the Angels continues to strive for making our school a more welcoming and inclusive school for all.
