Since 2016, Ontario has made a commitment to honor Treaties Recognition Week during the first week of November. The YCDSB recognizes Treaty Recognition Week as part of our ongoing journey of healing and reconciliation. At St. Mary of the Angels School students begin the day by listening to prayer acknowledging the contributions of Indigenous Peoples to the development of Canada as well as participating in class activities.
