We are thankful to have a positive working relationship with our parent/guardian community. Feedback and support from the parents/guardians of our community is vital for the success of our students. Catholic School Council (CSC) members have a special commitment to their school. They demonstrate enthusiasm, a desire to make a difference and a willingness to contribute in a meaningful way to strengthen the partnership between school, home and parish.
At this time, we are holding elections for members of our community who would like to be a part of CSC. As a parent/guardian of a child in this school, you are eligible to self-nominate or nominate another parent or guardian of a child at this school to be a voting member of the CSC. Successful candidates will hold their elected position for a term of one year and will be expected to attend the CSC meetings. Parents can make a difference to their children’s education. Being a member of the council provides parents with an opportunity to make recommendations to the school, the school board, and interact with other parents and staff. No one is singularly responsible for decisions. A representation of parents who reflect the diversity of the school population is needed.
Attached is a link to the nomination form through the Google Forms.
Please note, hard copies of the nomination form can also be obtained in the school office. Please contact the school and a copy will be sent home with your child. All nominations are due in the school office by Monday, September 23, 2024 at 3:00pm. This is the same deadline for the Google Form nomination format.
Our first SMS CSC meeting for this school year will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 6:30pm in the school library. At 6:30 pm a meeting to close last year’s CSC will occur. At 7:00 pm we will be electing the new Executive and members of the council. Following the election, the first meeting for the new school year will begin.
We look forward to working in partnership with you. Thank you for your continued support of our school community!
Ms. S. Gallo and Mr. Z. Marchesini
