Terry Fox Walk

“Anything is possible, if you try.” Terry Fox said these inspirational words when he set a goal for himself to run the Marathon of Hope. With courage, fierce determination and hope, Terry Fox ran a total of 5,373 km in
143 days!
Thursday, September 26th, 2024 will be “Terry Fox Day” at St.
Mary of the Angels. Students and staff are invited to wear red
and white or a Canada t-shirt to honour our Canadian hero,
Terry Fox.
All classes will participate in a walk around the school
neighbourhood honouring Terry Fox. As a school community,
let’s continue to raise awareness and funds for cancer research,
and together we will continue to help fulfill Terry’s dream.
Students are asked to bring in a toonie to school by Thursday ,
September 26th to support our “Toonies for Terry
Campaign.” All monies raised will be donated to the Terry Fox
Foundation. Our goal is to raise $1,200.00. If every student
brings in a toonie we will achieve our goal. Let’s do our part to
help fund cancer research and support those affected by
cancer.
